artemis-logoThe ARTEMIS European R&D CRAFTERS project has started on June 1st 2012. CRAFTERS stands for "ConstRaint and Application driven Framework for Tailoring Embedded Real-time Systems". The ARTEMIS Industrial Association brings together companies and institutions in the field of embedded systems and currently has over 200 members. UEG joined ARTEMIS in 2011.

CRAFTERS' goal is the development of a tightly integrated multi-vendor framework, complementing existing standards for secure, interoperable, efficient and timely pathways to system realization and application deployment for real-time applications of heterogeneous, networked, embedded many-core systems. As direct effects of the project results, it’s expected a 30% reduction of the total cost of ownership, a 50% shorter time-to-market and a 30% decrease of the number of development assets. The available budget for the project is close to 18M € and includes a total of 26 different companies and universities from ten European Union countries.

UEG, together with the ULB, is a partner in CRAFTERS with financial support from the Brussels Region R&D Funding Agency Innoviris. UEG's activities in CRAFTERS are related to its OMETRIS suite of modeling, simulation, validation, feasibility and schedulability analysis tools for real-time embedded systems.
